This workshop is designed for organising your photos on your laptop or desktop computer, not Ipad or mobile phone.

Are you groaning under the stress of an overloaded computer?

Do you know and understand where all your digital photos are?

Can you easily find your digital photos?

Using Adobe Lightroom, this one day, hands on, workshop will take you through how to set up Lightroom and implement efficient systems for storing, sorting and finding your digital photos.

With the guidance of Silvi, you will practice the following:

• Setting up a Lightroom catalogue

• Setting up your Lightroom preferences for efficiency

• Importing your images into Lightroom

• Naming and keywording

• File searching methods

• Understanding your metadata

• Reducing your file duplications

• RAW file processing

Bring your laptop and digital images and let Silvi help you make sense of your digital housekeeping.

You will need to have Lightroom Classic loaded and ready to go on your laptop before coming to this session.

Please bring with you:

Your laptop

Digital photos

An external hard drive - at least 2 terrabytes (please format the hard drive on your laptop before you arrive)

 
 

ABOUT SILVI GLATTAUER

Silvi Glattauer is a practicing photographer and Printmaker who has been using Adobe Lightroom since it’s first version in 2007.

Specialising in the photogravure process using non-toxic photopolymer plates, Silvi finds that the combination of traditional printmaking with photographic images gives her work an added dimension that further develops the use of photography in fine art practice.
Glattauer also has a background in the adult education sector with extensive experience in co-ordinating and running workshops. Alongside running workshops at The Baldessin Press for the past 20 years, she has taught photographic fine art printmaking at RMIT and Melbourne Polytechnic in Melbourne

Workshop Cancellations & Refunds

We understand that circumstances can change. A full workshop refund will be offered:

·       if a workshop in which you are enrolled is cancelled or deferred to a date unsuitable for your attendance. This may be the case if a Covid lockdown is announced.

·       upon receipt of an email indicating your intention to withdraw your enrolment when notice is provided to us at least three weeks in advance of the workshop start date.

Workshop Credit - Transfers

We are happy to transfer your enrolment to a future workshop, but this will depend on availability of studio space and three weeks notice being given to us.
