Are you often frustrated trying to obtain precise colours in your art work?
This one day workshop will teach you how to analyse and refine your colour skills and awareness .
You will make a colour swatch book on beautiful Arches paper, as a reference to have on hand in your studio.
Examine and explore colour using various reference materials provided. Use water based paint/pigment to mix and match colours observed in leaves, bark etc and even metal fragments to produce swatches and samplers, that can serve as a future reference guide.

Practical way of working with colour and colour mixing
Methods for accurate colour mixing
Mix colour with a limited range of pigment
Hone your colour observation skills
Take home ‘swatch’ samplers with annotations for future reference
This workshop is ideal for printmakers, painters, and anyone wanting to understand colour mixing and blending.
ABOUT ELIZABETH HAIGH
Elizabeth Haigh been mixing colour for over 30 years. Her love of colour can be found on her paint pallet, in dye solutions for textile works and more recently on a printmaking plate. Elizabeth studied Fine Art (RMIT) and together with teaching Secondary and VCE Art & Design she brings a wealth of experience.
Workshop Cancellations & Refunds
We understand that circumstances can change. A full workshop refund will be offered:
· if a workshop in which you are enrolled is cancelled or deferred to a date unsuitable for your attendance. This may be the case if a Covid lockdown is announced.
· upon receipt of an email indicating your intention to withdraw your enrolment when notice is provided to us at least three weeks in advance of the workshop start date.
Workshop Credit - Transfers
We are happy to transfer your enrolment to a future workshop, but this will depend on availability of studio space and three weeks notice being given to us.
