LAND OF LITHOGRAPHY - Aluminium plate lithography Workshop

with Danielle Creenaune

This 2-day workshop explores using unconventional objects and implements to create a wide range of marks within aluminium plate lithography.

Using the environment at Baldessin Studio we will take natural elements in our stride and create plates outdoors, maximising the range of drawn and painted effects lithography can offer.

While learning the basics of traditional plate lithography, we will be looking at creating immediate and automatic responses to the surrounding landscape.

Suitable for beginners or those with previous experience who are open to finding new approaches to mark making.

About Danielle Creenaune

Having lived abroad for 18 years, Australian born artist, Danielle Creenaune, worked out of her print studio in Barcelona and in 2019 returned to live in Wollongong NSW.

Her central motivation “is the intrinsic dialogue between landscape and people, how landscape is perceived through our library of pre-lived experiences and the ways in which this is reflected through the visual language of gesture.” Danielle’s current practice focuses on traditional and contemporary forms of lithography. She completed a Bachelor and a Master of Art at Art & Design UNSW, Sydney in 1997 and has since conducted workshops in Spain, Norway, UK and Australia. Her work is exhibited internationally and is represented by Australian Galleries.
