Where painting meets printmaking, the monotype offers the most flexible and creative way to make unique piece prints.

The nature of the process allows participants to work in a playful, spontaneous manner, making gestural, textured and experimental works.  The class covers the additive and reductive approaches, as well as printing procedures, which include chine colle, collage and multicoloured layered prints.  This is a busy, hands-on workshop of fun to introduce yourself to printmaking and take home original prints!

2 day workshop allows you to take your time and build a small portfolio of resolved work.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and those who want to further explore this medium.

Workshop includes:

  • Additive method

  • Reductive method

  • Working with watercolour and oil based inks
