This one day workshop will teach you how to analyse and refine your colour skills and awareness .

You will make a colour swatch book on beautiful Arches paper, as a reference to have on hand in your studio.

Includes inspiration from nature and natural pigments.

Examine and explore colour using various reference materials provided.  Use water based paint/pigment to mix and match colours observed in leaves, bark etc and even metal fragments to produce swatches and samplers, that can serve as a future reference guide.

Workshop includes

  • Practical way of working with colour and colour mixing

  • Methods for accurate colour mixing

  • Mix colour with a limited range of pigment

  • Hone your colour observation skills

  • Take home ‘swatch’ samplers with annotations for future reference
